Color Coach

My new favorite tool! Stampin' Up!'s Color Coach is so awesome, you could potentially decorate an entire room by the colors matched together! Each exclusive color has it's own color swatch and on the back of each color swatch are ideas of other colors that blend well with that color.

Not only that, but Stampin' Up! gives you some blank cards for your own color combinations. Don't like the colors they matched together, play with it! Put the colors alongside each other and find your own! LOVE IT!!!
$14.95 for the Color Coach (#120148) and then an additional $2.50 per In-Color (2010-2012 In-Colors #121048) (2011-2013 In Colors #124886). About $20 for ALL THOSE COLORS and INSPIRATION!

Shiny Guy

And last, but not least at all, Birthday for him! I saved this card for last at the class... I love oohs and ahhs and I felt this one really lived up to that!

What's great about this company and this world of paper-crafting, is the friendships and ideas that flow and inspire. The foil idea was not my own idea, but a fellow Demonstrator's idea. Of course, what you do with an idea is was creates even more inspiration! Cover a piece of cardstock with foil and run it through the Big Shot in an embossing folder and VOILA! A fun, and shiny element and perfect for a guy's card!

We used the Something Sweet set to make the gumballs, but with these cups, you could ACTUALLY put real candy in them! :) The ladies who came to stamp class got to choose the blue (boy) card or the coral (girl) card.

Many Accordion Flowers

Tomorrow, I will be a vendor at a local boutique, and I made MANY of these flowers to sell. I went to a local craft store today and purchased some foam-backed pins and made all these! ...TODAY! They are so much fun! I used Designer Series Paper that I've had sitting around here! Do you recognize any of these old papers?

Accordion Flower

These accordian flowers are something I have been seeing a lot lately and I wanted to try my hand at one! I've decided to make it so it could be interchangeable. So, as you can see, I mounted a simple circle on a safety pin with sticky strip adhesive. I used velcro dots and put one part on the safety pin part and the other on the back of the accoridan flower. Now, you can change the flower easily and not use so many safety pins. A fun idea that can be changed with the season or with your favorite stamps and Designer Series Paper.

Stamp Set:
Circle Circus

Paper and Ink:
A great use of retired paper!
Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Pad

Message Station

This isn't my original idea, but I found it years ago and loved it so much that I've made SEVERAL as gifts. Just go to your local discount store that carries these acrylic picture frames and use the advertised insert as a template for your cut paper. Insert your own paper in the frame, make a small design for the top, and add post-its and VOILA! A cute little message center!

Add a custom-made pen by using the same Designer Series Paper made into a tiny tube, insert the tiny tube into an RSVP pen (see the pen aisle and you'll know what I'm talking about) and double-VOILA! A matching set!

I used some retired Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper and So Saffron ribbon. It's a great way to use up some of those retired papers and ribbons! Imagine making a message center with holiday paper! PRETTY!

CD Butterfly

WHAT A FABULOUS IDEA! (Thanks to my dear upline, Jamie Albanese, for the CD idea!) (And thanks to my dear downline, Pam Miller for the sewing pin-antennae idea!) The SECOND Jamie brought this idea to my attention, I wanted to make one! I made this today and wore it to work (yep, I'd rather be stampin'!) and heard this many times: "where did you get that?" What an AWESOME conversation starter! I chose to leave this one as a raw CD since as you can see, where I work, the fun of it having been a CD made it even more interesting to those at the store. Pam used sticker material and used our Designer Series Paper to make decorative butterflies.

Want to learn how to make one of your own? Give me a call! Let's schedule a workshop!

What's needed:

Sizzix Bigz Beautiful Butterfly Die
Big Shot
Old CD's or for fun, a blu-ray dvd?
Sanding Blocks
Rhinstone Jewels
Silver ball sewing pins.
name tag pin to hot glue on the back
